DRYER VENT CLEANING

Dryer vents are critical for removing moisture, lint and toxic gases (especially from gas dryers) from the home to prevent fires and mold.   • Approximately 4% of all house fires are caused by clogged dryer vents

  • ​Dryer vents should generally be no longer than 25 feet

Signs of a blocked vent

  • Clothes take too long to dry or are too hot to touch at the end of a cycle

  • The dryer smells musty or like burning

  • The vent hood damper does not open properly
